Equality delivery system
The Equality Delivery System (EDS2) is a toolkit used across the NHS. Its aim is to help organisations to improve the services they provide for their local communities and provide better working environments for all staff and ensures that they meet the requirements of the Equality Act 2010.
This has provided a useful framework for us to engage and
identify areas of priority that help us meet the equality and
diversity duties set out in the Act and meet the standards set by
the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The trust has already done a lot of work to ensure that the
organisation meets the standards set out in the system and plans to
continue to develop this work further. Taking this work
forward will be one of the key objectives of the Equality,
Diversity and Inclusion Advisor once the post has been filled.
