Out of this world Christmas cheer at Southend Hospital
18 December 2019
In a galaxy not so far, far away, children at Southend Hospital’s Neptune Ward were treated to gifts and decorations by staff from NatWest at Thanet Grange.
For the last eight years, NatWest at Thanet Grange (previously
known as RBS) have fundraised to buy gifts and decorations for
Neptune Children's Ward. This year, their Santa's stockings
were filled with Nintendo Games Consoles, books, DVDs, toys,
chocolates and biscuits which they presented to staff and children
on Neptune Ward.
Elise Fleetwood, Fundraising Manager said: "We would like to
thank everyone at NatWest at Thanet Grange who have been such great
supporters of our hospital charity over the years. Their generous
donations bring so much joy to the children on the ward and we are
very lucky to have them on board."
Meanwhile in a little Inn far away from Bethlehem, the Holiday
Inn Southend to be precise, our Paediatric Emergency Department
staff were treated to a fantastic Christmas party as a thank you
gift from the hotel group.
They had drinks on arrival, 3-course meals, coffee and
chocolates and live entertainment including a DJ. The Holiday Inn
Southend are long-standing supporters of Southend Hospital who
wanted to show gratitude to healthcare staff who do so much for the
Our Site Leadership Team (SLT) or Santa's Leadership Team took
on different roles during the festive season, from serving up
Christmas lunch in the Education Centre restaurant to delivering
chocolates and judging Christmas decorations.
