Strictly Fever winter ball boosts Keyhole Cancer Appeal
22 December 2014
Southend University Hospital’s Strictly Fever winter ball left no wallflowers moping in the shadows. As the band struck up, everyone got in the party mood and took to the dance floor to help raise cash for the hospital’s Keyhole Cancer Appeal.
The twinkle-toed and the clodhoppers were all inspired to move
to the beat following a dazzling performance by Ryan McShane and
Ksenia Zsikhotska, current British Latin dance champions and 2014
Britain's Got Talent semi-finalists.
The evening, at Orsett Hall, boosted the appeal by £8,000,
bringing the total to date to more than £140,000.
Consultant laparoscopic colorectal surgeon, Mr Mike Dworkin,
said: "It was great fun with a very positive feeling that everyone
was there for the same cause. We all had a really good time."
