Invitation to nurses

Southend University Hospital is currently recruiting for more top-notch nurses to join its workforce.
Registered nurses are invited to apply by Sunday, March 18 for
posts in certain specific areas including orthopaedics, cardiac
care, infectious diseases and elderly care. Suitable applicants
will then be invited to an assessment day on Thursday, April 5 to
learn more about the jobs and the working environment.
Posts on offer include permanent, fixed term and bank contracts
and are both full-time and part-time. Nurses with children will be
able to take advantage of the on-site Ladybird Nursery.
Sue Hardy, director of nursing, said: "We are actively
recruiting for front-line staff in these specific areas to ensure
we can provide excellent patient care without having to resort to
costly agency nurses.
"Those attending the assessment day will be able to meet
some of our nursing staff to hear first-hand what it is like to
work atSouthendUniversityHospital."
The hospital is recognised by the Care Quality Commission for
its quality of services and recently hosted a visit by health
minister Anne Milton MP who praised staff for their commitment to
improving patient care."
