A quality car park award recognising safety has been retained by Southend University Hospital.
A recent re-assessment by John Mills, Essex Police accredited
assessor and Mike Bibby, development manager for the South East,
found strict risk assessment and safety criteria set by the police
had been met.
Southend University Hospital has won a total of seven Park
Mark awards since 2007, which is an excellent achievement. Over the
past 12 months alone, 900,000 vehicles have passed through the
hospital's car parks with no incidents recorded.
Mike Bibby said: "This is another good example of what can
be achieved as a result of dedication and diligence."
He added: "Everyone using the site can be confident that their
safety and that of their vehicle is being well catered for."
Kevin Chinnery, service operations manager at the
hospital, said: "A high standard has been set by security and the
parking team and they thoroughly deserve this award."
