Call for young artists to give vent to their creative streak

Following an overwhelming response to the last two years’ appeals, Southend University Hospital is again calling on young artists to help cheer up patients who will spend Christmas in a hospital bed
Children are being asked to design, make and send Christmas
cards to be distributed around the wards by youngsters from the
hospital's Ladybird nursery.
Childcare business manager, Lisa Green, said: "For the past two
years we have called on kids to think of those who will not be at
home with their families on the big day. Both times we received a
fantastic response with thousands of cards arriving for our
