Recruitment day for qualified theatre staff

Southend University Hospital’s expanding theatres department is holding a recruitment day for qualified staff on Saturday 28 June, from 10am – 2pm.
Roles on offer include full-time theatre nurse positions,
operating department practitioners and theatre support workers with
band five, six and seven positions available.
The event will be held in the day stay surgery unit where
potential staff will have the chance to look round one of the
hospital's theatres and speak to the team to find out more about
the roles and working at the hospital.
The hospital's expertise in treating patients needing vascular
surgery means we are committed to pushing ahead with the new
dedicated endovascular theatre development, to ensure our local
population have access to a state of the art theatre for vascular
surgery, alongside our highly skilled surgical teams, as soon as
possible.
The hospital are also raising £600,000 for a new
state-of-the-art keyhole theatre through their new Keyhole Cancer
Appeal, which will increase the quality and quantity of a wide
variety of surgery it offers.
David Heaver, clinical service manager, said: "I'm a local
lad and I'm passionate about bringing the team forward, the
department has a really bright future. I'll be there on the day to
speak to any potential staff about the opportunities available in
this friendly team that has many genuinely exciting challenges
ahead."
Potential staff are also asked to bring along their CVs on the
day.
