Boogie in the Barn set to be 'top fun'

15 July 2014

Fundraising

A 70s and 80s evening of old school tunes is just what the doctor has ordered for Boogie in the Barn on Friday 18 July, in aid of Southend University Hospital’s Keyhole Cancer Appeal.

Pumping up the volume will be DJ Mike Porter, from Tropicana Nights, and rounding out this 'Friday Night Fever will be a hot food court and a Kontiki cocktail bar.

It will of course be all about dressing up to get down and boogie, with flares and shoulder pads essential, and that is just the men!  The hair-raising styles and dance moves are set to raise the roof and help raise the £600,000 to fund a new state-of-the-art laparoscopic theatre suite at the hospital, which will increase the quality and quantity of a wide variety of surgery.

Tickets are still available for the Boogie in the Barn event, which takes place on Friday 18 July, 7pm - 12pm at Tabor Farm Barn, Rochford. Tickets are for over 18's only and are priced at £10, plus booking fee.
