What’s it worth? Ask the experts

20 October 2015

Experts from Stacey’s auctioneers and valuers in Rayleigh have kindly agreed to cast their skilled eyes over items brought along to the Christmas Craft and Gift Fair being held next month to raise funds for Southend University Hospital’s Keyhole Cancer Appeal.

While there is no guarantee that they will be able to pronounce you are sitting on a small fortune, they may deem your objets d'art are worth a few bob more than you anticipated.

The craft and gift fair at The Mill, Bellingham Lane, Rayleigh on Sunday, November 15 has become a popular fixture in the run-up to Christmas.

As well as the expert evaluations, there will be a sale of nearly new children's clothes and toys, an array of craft and gift stalls and the ever-popular Santa's grotto.

"The craft fair is a great place to find some quirky and different gift ideas for Christmas," says organiser and loyal hospital supporter Malachy O'Sullivan.

"With free parking, it is a chance to avoid the rush and get some early stocking fillers as our stalls cater for all ages."

Entry is just £1.50 for adults with children under 16 free. For more information, telephone 01702 385337 or email fundraising@southend.nhs.uk
