Fundraising
Southend Hospital Charity has recently launched their new website featuring details of their appeals, how to become a volunteer, fundraising news and upcoming events, and much more. It also enables supporters to donate securely through the website if they wish.
The two major fundraising campaigns are the Keyhole Cancer
Appeal which aims to raise £600,000 for the provision of a new
state-of-the-art laparoscopic (keyhole surgery) theatre suite. The
other campaign is the Dementia Appeal which aims to raise funds in
order to purchase dementia-friendly equipment such as memory boxes
and bed sensors. The mission is to standardise dementia care and be
a dementia-friendly hospital.
Kayley Fletcher, Community Fundraising Manager, said: "We hope
our new website will help keep the public informed and
up-to-date with our important appeals and activities as well as
make the process of donating more convenient through our secure
page.
"There are lots of ways people can get involved such as leaving
gifts in wills and visiting charity shops, and our site contains
all the information you need to help Southend Hospital reach its
fundraising targets and improve patient care."
