Staff residential accommodation
Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides a staff residential accommodation service with a dedicated accommodation management team.
We offer short term housing for staff based on approved
eligibility criteria and subject to availability under individual
short term tenancy agreements. Long term or permanent housing is

Southend Hospital at Balmoral Road, Westcliff-On- Sea, SS0 7DB Map
It is conveniently situated close to local amenities, a short
stroll away from:
- Local shops and restaurants - 5 minutes
- Seafront -15 minutes
- Westcliff, Southend Victoria and Southend Central stations -
Single rooms are let fully furnished including bedding and
linen. Each bedroom has an en-suite WC and shower facilities,
broadband and internet services. Shared kitchens and lounges are
fully equipped for 6 residents.
Rent for a single room is available on request (fully inclusive
of utility bills and Council Tax) and is deducted directly from
staff members' monthly salary. A refundable deposit of £200
is payable at the beginning of the tenancy.
We have a small number of family flats (1, 2 and 3 bedroom)
subject to eligibility and availability.

The accommodation bureau service is available to Southend
University Hospital staff seeking advice on finding private
accommodation in the locality.
You can also contact the Bureau if you have a room, flat or
house that you would like to advertise as being available to
or telephone 01702 314836. Office hours are 09:00-16:00,
Monday to Friday.

with a listings of private lettings in the locality available from
within the hospital only. It must be noted that he Trust does
