Windsor Ward is a medical ward for the over 65s. We provide care for patients with complex medical and social issues.

We work closely with the patients and their families to give high standards of care, working with many specialities to enable a seamless journey for the patient from admission to discharge.

The ward team comprises of 2 consultants who are dementia specialists, 4 ward doctors, a matron, Ward Manager, trained nurses, health care assistants, physiotherapist, physio assistant, ADLA, Discharge co-ordinator and social workers.

Total number of beds: 27 beds (30 in the winter months).

Visiting and other instructions

Visiting hours are between 07:00 and 21:00 with protected mealtimes.  No more than two visitors per patient at any time, unless discussed with nurse in charge for that day.

Please talk to the nurse in charge to arrange to speak with the doctor.

Specialist teams who care for patients on this ward

Physiotherapists, dementia, tissue viability, palliative care, diabetic, cardiac, Parkinson's, COPD and infection control nurse specialists. Falls specialists, discharge coordinators, dieticians, speech and language specialists and pharmacists.
