Emergency childcare
When you are a working parent and work for the NHS, no matter what precautions you take there are times when you will need emergency childcare cover.
Breakdown of normal childcare arrangements can occur for a
number of reasons, for example your child's school may have a
teacher training day; your childminder may become ill or the family
member who usually cares for your children may go on
holiday.
All of these issues happen regularly. During these events you
may have to find alternative arrangements or take annual
leave.
The Family Support Team has negotiated discounted rates with a
range of childcare settings around the area that will care for
children from 0-12 years in order to help reduce the cost of the
care and eliminate the problems of finding emergency cover.
If you need emergency cover, no matter how short the notice,
contact the Family Support Team who will assist
in signposting you to childcare providers that will
suit your working pattern.
