Recruitment open days

Southend University Hospital holds recruitment open days regularly throughout the year.

Our next events are

Saturday 11 January 2020

We welcome anyone who is a:

  • Registered nurse (RN)
  • Those looking to return to practice as a RN
  • Newly qualified nurses
  • Those who are registered nurses in a foreign country, who currently work as HCAs, with completed IELTS (level 7) or OET
  • Allied Health Professionals (AHP)
  • Return to practice AHPs

The event allows potential new recruits interested in working at the hospital to find out more, ask questions, take a tour and potentially interview all on the same dedicated recruitment day.

Nurses and staff from all specialties will be on hand to talk about their roles at Southend and the benefits available to staff who join the team.  You will also have the opportunity to tour the hospital and visit our Simulation Suite; the £120,000 centre is designed to look and feel like a typical patient bay, complete with a sophisticated manikin that can be used to stage any medical scenario for training and better understanding.

The event will run from 10am - 2.00pm in the Education Centre and is open to registered nurses and those noted above, with no booking required.

If you are interested please contact Ruth Gale, Medical Matron:
