We aim to see all patients promptly at their allotted
time. Should we be running slightly behind schedule, please
be patient and understand that we may have had to spend extra time
with a patient.
If you arrive late for your appointment, we will do our best to
see you for the remainder of your appointment time. If your
appointment time has expired, please call the department on 01702
385643 to discuss your options.
Changing your appointment
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please call the
department to reschedule. Patients who fail to attend their
appointments without prior notification will be discharged back to
their consultant and will need to begin the referral process
What happens next
At the end of your consultation, your dietitian will discuss
whether a follow-up appointment is required and advise you on how
to arrange your next appointment.
The dietitians at Southend Hospital welcome private patients
too. Just ask your consultant or GP to send through a
referral and we will contact you to arrange an appointment.
Private appointments are held weekdays outside of normal
departmental working hours.
