X-rays can be used to look at any part of the body and are particularly useful for demonstrating the bones and joint spaces. Chest x-rays can help to demonstrate a number of pathological processes involving the heart and lungs.
We perform hundreds of x-ray examinations every day, covering
various areas of the hospital including the emergency department,
wards and clinics as well as those referred from GP's and other
areas of the community.
The x-ray images are reported by a specialist doctor
(radiologist) or a specially trained radiographer.
